WHAT TO EXPECT
We will start this tour with a private pick up from your accommodation before heading to the historical site of Kerta Gosa situated in Semaraapura, the main town of the Klugkung regency in East Bali.
Kerta Gosa forms part of the Puri Semarapura Royal Palace, dating back to 1686, and consists of a grand hall filled with Wayang style art and Bale Kambang or 'Floating hall' which is beautifully surrounded by a moat. It is now a national heritage site and one of the most important historical places in Bali.
Following our visit to Kerta Gosa, we will proceed up the slope of the majestic Aguna mountain to visit the 'Mother Temple' Besakih. Known as Bali's 'Mother Temple' for over 1000 years, it is situated around 1000 meters above sea level and is a truly unique place that consists of 86 temples making is the biggest and holiest of the islands temples. We will be surrounded by incredible views of rice fields, mountains, streams and hills.
Once we're finished at Kerta Gosa, we will make a stop at Mahagiri to be amazed by the incomparable panoramic views before heading to Tirta Gangga which was, in ancient time, used as the bathing site of the Royal Family and the King of Karangasem Regency.
The tour concludes with a drop-off back to your accommodation.
