WHAT TO EXPECT
We will start this tour with a private pick up from your accommodation before heading to Sidemen village. Despite vast development throughout the island of Bali, Sidemen village is seen as one of the most authentic and untouched areas in Bali situated against the impressive backdrop of Mount Agung.
We will then continue this tour with a trip to the historical site of Tirta Gangga which was once used as the bathing site by the King and Royal Family of Karangasem. Tirta Gangga is surrounded by lush water gardens, pools, ponds and fountains and has undergone vast restoration since the damage caused during the 1963 Mount Agung eruptions.
Once we're done at this historical site, we will then visit Amed village, once known for salt farming, where you will see stunning beaches and breathtaking coral reefs. We will stop here for some lunch and you will have the opportunity to take pictures.
We will then head to the palace garden ruin of Taman Ujung which was also used as the garden of the ancient Kingdom of Karangasem Regency. It is located in the village of Seraya and is the sister site of Tirta Gangga. This water palace consists of several large pools and ponds surrounded under the watchful eye of of Mount Agung and the eastern coastline.
Before we conclude the tour, we will visit the Baliaga people that live in Tenganan. They are famous for local, authentic arts and crafts such as hand woven fabrics made of nature colours from plants, leaves and fruits. We will also have time to sip coffee at the coffee plantation before heading back to your accommodation.
